We continue serialization of Empowered vol. 12, which proved to be the final volume of the series in this specific graphic-novel format, though I was unaware of that unfortunate reality when I started work on the book.

As I noted yesterday, while I do believe that I might have figured out a viable workflow for future comics projects, one that is based on high-contrast inked artwork, the fact that I'm currently sidelined from producing any artwork due to drawing-arm pain is quite worrisome. (In fact, I'm somewhat awkwardly dictating this commentary with Windows speech recognition in an attempt to spare my arm further irritation from typing.) I have to say, this bodes rather ill for the prospect of me drawing another comic fulltime, as I racked up my current state of discomfort and irritation from relatively few work hours of inking; if I were in fact attempting to pound out 20+ pages of comics per month, that would require vastly longer work hours than the rather casual art tests that triggered my current suspension from art production.
